The success
of the Open Media Group is founded upon the talent of the individuals
that contribute to the project. This includes not only members of
the in-house development
team, but all the third
party developers (individual and corporate) who add their
$0.02 and more to the mix, and also all of the outer circle of interested
parties who use our products, play with our code for their own projects,
and take the time to give us some feedback.
There's no
one way to become a contributor, official or otherwise. And
no one type of contributor to be. You can contribute to the discussion
of ideas, the code, documentation, artwork, product design... You
can contribute by taking what we have started here, building upon
it, and broadcasting your new variation to the world.
For some it
may be a natural extension of the tinkering you're already doing
with our code, or a bug you've found that you know how to fix. By
simply sending your stuff back to us (ideas, code, documents, artwork),
whether it becomes incorporated into official releases, packaged
with collections, or archived with other 3rd party projects - any
way you spell it, you're contributing. If we end up talking with
you a lot, or if you wow us with what you're producing, we'll likely
reach out and invite you in to the inner circle of MeOMG developers
with commit access to our CVS repository. If you'd like to introduce
yourself, by all means join
a newsgroup or drop
us a line so we can get the dialogue going exploring how
we may collaborate.
Build on
it for yourself, or build on it for everyone. Anyone can use
the products
we post here, but we do screen for quality when it comes to incorporating
outside contributions into future product versions. We want to refine
the project as much as we expand it over time. If you're interested
in participating, we're interested in hearing
from you. Where do you want to see these products go? How
do you think you can help everyone get there?
Welcome to
the team.
